Hi,

I was very happy when I read "Our responsive themes ensure your site content displays beautifully and intuitively on all Web-browsing devices!", but unfortunately this is not the case (at least in my case).

The layout of the demo content is broken on my iPad 2. The sidebar comes under the main body, login, wiki, social icons on the top go to the very bottom on tablet, the main menu disappears, etc.

I haven't found any settings for mobile devices except in theme options/layout, where I can adjust only the size of the mobile page, which I left intact. Apart from it, nothing refers to the mobile layout.

It is ugly, as it looks like now on the device, I hope it could be somehow fixed.

What shall I do?

These changes in the layout are connected with using the responsive web design approach.

The background image dissapears in order to use less memory on the mobile device.

The main menu is replaced by the dropdown selectbox list, because it is necessary to prepare the submenus for mobile devices.

The sidebar in most of responsive web design websites always come under the main content, because on the smaller screens there is no place for the sidebar.

The tobbar land on the footer of the page because on the mobile browsers there are a lof of problems with position: fixed elements.

In rwd approach there is no mobile version of the site - there is only mobile-ready css code which is used when the browser width is smaller than value specified by user in our themes.

So what you are saying is that these changes are for reason. Noted. Is it possible to switch off this responsive thing? I'm sorry, but I don't like how it looks. It really shuffles things the way I don't want.

Hi

Responsive design uses the latest standards for tablets. Unfortunately it's not possible to remove it without recoding most of the files. Please select one of our non-responsive templates, each has a separate template for different devices.

Do you think I have paid 40 euros for this template, just to choose another one? :? :?

You can try to set the similar width for the tablet view i.e. 540pixels - then the tablet layout won't be loaded on your iPad.

Hi

Sorry. I didn't mean to use a different template entirely. I was just thinking about using a different template for tablet view. It's possible with a small change in a menu code and than select a different menu for mobile and attach a different template for this specific menus. But surely Dziudek had an easier to make idea.
