When loading i get a bleu square with a clock.

Please try to disable JS/CSS compression because right now it is really hard to check what can cause the problem.

Slideshow working now.
Disabled 'generate thumbnails'
Ensabled 'use style css'

Probably you need exclude some scripts from compression or just leave it disabled because when some JS libraries are duplicated it may cause this kind of problems.
