_Noscale not working in cache

Hi

I am using a recently downloaded Startup template.

I want to use images other than NSP4 creates for thumbnails. I read on another post https://www.gavick.com/forums/news-show-pro-gk4/how-to-makes-thumbnails-in-nspgk4-independent-20078.html?p=95041&hilit=noscale#p95041 that putting the _noscale at the end of the filename should do this but it doesnt apper to be working.

In mod_news_pro_gk4 > cache

I have created:
k2.items.cache.3f670763861139bf2201e7bc224257d4_Lnsp_88_noscale.jpg

It does say in that post that there is a bug in your implentation, I think maybe a couple of files need updating (gk.thumbs.php class and layout.part.php file).

Is this the case or am I missing something?
I am working on localhost so can't do remote administrator access.
