Can K2 Category Images be Shown instead of Article Images?

I'm using NSP GK5 to show the title and category of K2 articles.
NSP is using multiple K2 categories as a data source.

Instead of displaying the Category name in the listing, I would like to have the K2 category -image- be shown.

I know that I can set a default image for the entire module, but that would cause the same image to be shown for all of the categories. I would like each category to have it's own image shown.

Is there a way to achieve this using NSP GK5?

No, News Show Pro supports only item images, without code modifications it will be not possible but this is huge cusotmization request.
