Why newsshow pro not fecting

Hi,

Why news show pro is not fetching the first k2 article image as a thumbnail image to display in front end. When I tried to attach the k2 image it grabs it perfectly but when I leave k2 title image empty and add image inside the article its not creating the thumb nail to display in the homepage.

I know there is a option in module back end under thumbnail title image source from Joomla article k2 image or image from article. I have tried all the option nothing works for me.

Can any one help me on this.

You can select which image should be used, but it can be K2 image or first image from content. Unfortunately this cannot work for both options at the same time.

If we select k2 image. then it search for k2 title image if the title image doesn't exist it then go for first image in the article. When Image source is set to k2 image there is a higher priority given to k2 image then first article image it doesn't mean this or that logic.
that's what explained in the quick tip popup next to that field label.

my question is when I place a article image in form of url (image from other server(s3 or flicker)) the image is not fetching up.
I have attached the image to prove it.

NSP cannot reprocess an image placed outside the server, so if You want to use it like that You need to disable creating thumbs. An image will still be shown but will be resizes with style="" and not creating a cropped one.

thanks for the reply. I have tried disabling the cropped option, when i done that its shows dig image there.

can I know what will be best solution to have a proper thumbnail size image there. help will be much appreciated also this will help all others who are trying to have there image hosted elsewhere.

This not be able with NSP than. Script is not able to reprocess an image which is not stored on a server. Please try using a different module.

well i can if its so but all gavick sites are purely depended on NSP. The NSP module act like the backbone of the entire template produced with gavick.

The site is nearly done all parameters are well configured. Now I am in process of optimising the server load so my client is not charged high from the hosting provider. so going back to other module is not possable at this time..it will be some thing starting a fresh new project.

Than I believe You have no other choice than to configure NSP not to create thumbs. This way it will use an outside images and resize with CSS ( example: style="width=100px;height:50px;" ), it will not stress the server because images will already be loaded from a different one.

Can I know more specific where I suppose to add the style code ? is it any fields inside the module?

it will be really helpful if i get good advice from expert then trying trial and error method in site.

You do not have to add it anywhere, the settings of thumb height and width are enought. Module will use this settings in a way I've mentioned.

I have tried to play around the size option in thumbnail tab but nothing worked. since i disabled the thumbnail creation, I can see a miss size images shown up with lost of different spacing between title and other stuff.

I played around with all the toggle switch between image stretch, keep aspect ratio .. nothing helped.

Really I feel i am not going to achieve it. Dam should not loose my hope...

Hope NSP should have this feature in the upcoming development Like having a feature setting to change the image placeholder style (hight and width) so any image source can fit in. it will be really helpful for starters and for expert web masters.
