Hi,

I have been using new pro for such a long time. I just noted that newshow pro folder have cache sub folder which stores all the cropped images. Is there a way to delete this image automatically after certain period of time, There are nearly 1000 images in the folder which are not even displayed in the front end.

This occupies more disk space in the hosting. I planned to host my images now with amazon s2 service now I need to find solution to solve this..

Any experts out there ?

Thanks

hope this feature will be added to the next version of newspro module. this will be really a stress free function for webmasters.

Like the cropped image get deleted after a fixed amount of time given from module back end with following drop down option 1 month, 1 week, 2 months so on.

If suppose that article is still in home page the module should search for the cropped image and if there is no thumbnail exist it creates a new one and stores it to the cache.

It certainly reduce lots of disk space also number of HTTP request. Now many webmaster are moving to CDN and S3 technology for storing there image separately to improve the site performance and ranking stuff. Hope you guys will support us by adding this feature to the upcoming release.

Hi

The images which are still showing within the module are replaced after selected time in cache settings. Unfortunately it's not removing images which are not showing anymore. But this old images should be removed while joomla cache is cleared. Isn't it ?

Does it get deleted with joomla cache removed? If its so its fine but I was thinking that this cACHE is stored in separate section under module folder and never saw any of the old images removed..

Hi

I see on my site that NSP is listed on clear cache list. When I clear it, images got removed. If it's not working like that on Your site, than try change parmissions of cache folder in NSP.
