Linking menu item to mod news pro gk4

Hi.

I use the mod news pro gk4 to display k2 articles attractively in a list with accompanying thumbnail.

I'd like to be able to link a menu item to this module but I find when I do this, it loads the module / list of articles on every individual article item display page when you click on them, which is not what I want.

How can I create a menu link that loads the module /article list but then hides it on the individual article items?

Every single item from New Show Pro module can link to single article from K2 or Joomla! content, there is no way to link to article list or blog page.

Can you clarify... are you saying that I can't link a menu item to mod news pro gk4 to show k2 articles list?

You can't link News Show Pro single item to category view. Every article presented in News Show Pro can re-direct only to article view.

OK. But I can display mod news pro gk4 on my home screen and when I click on a listed article it takes me to article view and does not show mod news pro gk4 any more.

But when I assign mod news pro gk4 to an menu link entitled "articles" it then continues to show mod news pro gk4 on article view too (presumably because the module is fixed to articles menu)?

Can I not achieve an index anywhere apart from front page?

You need to set articles to some menu item then assign News Show Pro module to this menu item also so it will be visible in this article view page. This is exactly the same like with every other Joomla! module.

bkrztuk, I don't if I'm missing something?
My menu item is set to articles. News Show Pro module is assigned to the menu item and therefore shows when I click the menu item.
The problem is it continues to show when I click on the article and at this point I want it to hide and display only the individual news article. Is this what you are saying is impossible?

If you want to hide module on single article view you need to disable module for the menu item where articles are linked.

I can't do this though because the mod is linked to the menu parent item which also covers single item view?

Yes if the single item is not related to any other menu item it should working like in your case.
