Hi struggling on the settings of this module

Hi i have a site that i am working on http://www.in2town.co.uk and i am having problems with the thumbnail. I do not want my pictures stretched as i had the settings as standard and they left my site looking bad with low quality images, so i am trying to find a way to have the correct settings to keep the images in the dimension that they should be in

for example

If you look at the above page and look at the article which says Trance Band Hypno Band Is Helping Women Become Slim the you will see this picture is stretched and far to long, but it does not matter what i do the picture is staying the same size.

can anyone help me to sort out the settings please to keep the pictures in size and looking good
