How can we use the Author remplacement name instead author

Just a quick question, on system we can display Author of article with %AUTHOR i would like to know if its possible to use and display with witch tag the author remplacement name instead of author (feature in article publication under selection of author) Thanks

i have try something like but not running : $news_info = str_replace('%AUTHOR', $news_created_by_alias, $news_info);
