Menu end item level not respected

Hello, I have three levels in Joomla menu. I only want to show two of them. So, in the Template configuration for the menu I have added 1. But it is not respected.

I solved this by going to the level 2 (out of three) menu items, Gavick Menu parameters and uncheck the Group box.
