How do you control what categories show up in the menu?

I want to duplicate the menu module and have different categories show up depending on what page you are on, but I can't seem to find where you select what categories will list in the K2 Tools module.

Hi,
... when you adding new Menu item you can select what category must be shown. This is basic of Joomla, described in all books/ebooks/video tutorials on youtube. That's why I always suggest to use quickstart only for test and "empty" joomla to work on.

If you want to care about SEO, don't duplicate menu - create a new one with your own alias.

p.s.
I have checked Module K2 tools from GK Restaurant settings and I saw that is default setting is "Categories list"
if you need similar in Menu go to:
Menu Manager --> New --> Menu Item Type [select] --> Articles > Category List -CHOOSE
and title to position and Save

That's all

Thanks Pawel. I don't believe I made myself clear. When I said menu, I meant the menu in the right position of the template. See attached image.

Yeah Rob, that's why check my last post.
You can choose different menu type from list. Or add each category separately.
By default you can use default Joomla features. If you want more .... you have to use additional extension.

Or maybe you want to add module inside menu ? Guide: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... into-menu/
