When people are attempting to log in using Google Chrome and they enter the wrong username or password they are getting an error 500 page appearing, rather than being directed to the "Incorrect password please try again" screen that they do using IE or Firefox.

Any known reason for this?

Can it be fixed?

TIA.

Hi Don, thanks for your attempt - I too cannot get the error 500, but I have had a further 6 people reporting the same error today - I am attempting to get people's accounts of when this happens to them. All they say at present is that it happens when they try to log in.

Yes, please help get details of reproducing the problem then I could help you further because I can't do anything now if I don't see the problem myself.

Thanks,

Hi Don,

A curious one this - it would seem that viewers are getting 500 errors given various links to thia new J!2.5 site.

The previous J!1.5 site which is still there: http://ffres.org will be switched off when the new one is approved.

Could it be that the cookies from the old site are trying to log people into the new site and causing an error???

It is most peculiar!

It could be, but I have just tried using the both site but the problem didn't happen to me, can you please ask those users to clear cookies data in their browser to check if the problem persists?

Cheers,
