Ok, I admit I have never used Joomla before. But I am having major issues trying to install the quickstart for leaguenews. I have Filezilla, and I am connected to my host. But when i try to export the files it wont let me selected anything, they are all just folders that are empty. I extracted the compressed zip folder into another new folder on my desktop. Not sure what the next step is.

Thanks

Hi, don't worry. Probably you are doing something wrong.

1) First, check your package, there are files inside? Click twice on zip file.
2) Unzip package on your local hard disc
3) Then use Filezilla or other FTP client to copy all folders & files.

If you still have problem - ask host support maybe it's something wrong with server settings.

Who is providing your web hosting service? When I was having trouble with installing the QuickStart package I turned to SiteGround and they did it for me at no cost and very quickly.

SiteGround it's very good hosting for Joomla! sites, because they use, support & love this CMS for many years.
