Here I go again with the same damn problem that costs me many, many hours of production.

My site keeps going down on the front end.

All I am doing before this problem occurs is creating new items for the SlideShow in K2 and linking photos to those same items.

In this case, I repeated the steps several times and made approximately 8 items for the SlideShow...linking photos to each of the items...photos that I previously uploaded to the server.

After I the 8 new items, I went to view the site to see how things look.

The only problem is now the site won't load. WTF!

The same thing happened yesterday. So, I turned to SiteGround since my server is with them and they were having widespread network problems yesterday, and so I wasn't sure it was related.

Basically, SiteGround reset my account so that all I had left was the template. The bear bones QuickStart template. So, I had to start everything from scratch again today.

No problem...I got over that. BUT now it's happening again....same s**t!

This is very frustrating.

Can someone look at my QuickStart files and see if I have everything correct. I'm thinking that maybe I have QuickStart and also other versions of the install embedded somewhere additionally. I'm really not sure since I am a newbie.

Thanks in advance.

After re-installing Joomla 2.5 GK League News QuickStart package several times -- I've narrowed down what I am doing which causes my site to crash (not open) on the front end.

Specifically, when I delete the existing SlideShow items that are part of the demo; and then, adding my own new items...when I view the site after these steps, my site does not open on the front end.

Can someone please explain to me why this is happening and/or what is the best way to replace the existing SlideShow items with your own new items.

For all the newbies out there like me...here is what came back from Site Ground...which is a great hosting company that provides great service quickly...totally I recommend them. Here's what they commented about this problem:

----

I have very carefully checked the Image Show module. In order to have it working you need to select Content Type = K2. After that you have to select a K2 Article or your website will not show the slide correctly.

In order to avoid any further issues, please do not delete the slides, just unpublish them by clicking the green mark.

Note that you need to hit the Save button and then reload your front webpage.

If the issue persists, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
