Slide Show Photos

Here's a link to my site so far which obviously doesn't look so nice and complete since I've just started making changes, etc.

What I want you to notice is that I've added a photo to one of the article items and it appears three times within the homepage.

My problem right now is not that the same photo appears too many times -- which it does -- rather, my problem (for me) is the same photo does NOT appear in the slide show; WTF!

I've read through every single post of the forum and don't seem to be able to understand how the damn slideshow works!

Can someone please tell me/show me how to change the photos of the slideshow.

Could you tell me which part you're talking about ? I've visited your site and check Image Show - there are no duplicated content, just 3 three different pictures.

I was just about to update this thread based on what I have recently learned from another good moderator (Norman UK) a few hours earlier:

1. To change the pictures of the slideshow (they don't just happen automatically as I initially thought); rather, one must go to Module Manager of the K2 cPanel, scroll through the pages, and look for "Image Show". From there, on the right side, under "Your Slides", one can manage the images that are shown during the slideshow as well as link them to existing articles.

While I have successfully updated my slides and am in better shape now (thanks again Norman), I am still experiencing an annoying problem: That is, when I double click any of the images of the slideshow while the slideshow is running -- which redirects you to the full article -- the same image "should" show again above the article text but, in my case, that is not happening. Instead, I see only the GK Demo file. However, when I double click on the GK Demo File, it is at that point that the template shows me the same image that I want.

So the question is: What must I do so that the selected image of my article shows above the text at the first instance versus having to double click the DK Demo image?

You just need to set the same image in article settings, probably when you use K2 you need to edit item, open "image" tab and set the same image there.

Yes, you are right (thank you). I wrongly thought that the same image was automatically loaded from one to the other. But that's not correct. One must add the image to both the new item/article and also the slide show item/article. It's not automatic. Thanks again.

Yes, exactly. This option allows you to set different image on Image Show and inside K2 item or article.
