League News Slider

I don't know if this question has already been answered before but I would like to display the very same slider on the homepage, but larger. Precisely, I would like to cut the little sidebar on the right (where it says NFL Gallery) and have the slider also in this place. Below is a bad photoshop of what I am talking about but if it can help you understand, then it's more than perfect! I have been working with Wordpress for a very long time so I am not very familiar with all the Joomla modules and components, still learning the thing but I'm sure it is all very easy to accomplish!

please go to modules settings. Here find modules called NFL Gallery and Headlines and unpublish them. If there will be no modules in sidebar position Slider will increase width automatically.

I found it but thanks for the confirmation!:) there is one thing though, the slider adapt itself but there's always a small vertical white line between the slider and the background. Even if I try to manually change the width of the background, the white line is still there. How can I make it dissappear?
