I want to create multiple communication channels, but each channel geared toward a specific country. First I want to create a portal on the English fesrad with advertisers focused on the English language and then want to create a portal geared only to advertisers who speak the portuquês. Same site: http://www.nytimes.com/
or equal site: msn.com.br (http://br.msn.com/) using br before the main domain ... how do I do this on Gavick template?

I forgot to mention that I want to put each site in a different language.
On the side of Brazil I need to translate the entire site for portuquês
and International side of the site. Site entirely in English. How do I make a website in two languages?

Hi

If You want to have "br.yourdomain.com", than You need to make a copy of the full site and instal it under the "br" subdomain and translate the content.

If You want to use one copy of the site You can use joomla language system, but than domain will be more like "yourdomain.com/br" . I prefere using Falang component for translations, but here is an instruction to make this with what joomla brings: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/ge ... oomla-1-7/

I preferred to create a folder called br. then so will br.wdcorp.com.br/files .... ...

And how do I copy a site in joomla? literally control c and control v?
Or have to have something else ... A different technique since all the links are going to change! Is there any application to do this?

Hi

You will need to copy database and than change the configuration details to new one (new database name or just new prefix).

You can also use Akeeba Beckup to make a site copy along with database install it again in a different folder and with different database prefix.

Hi

I've added a content languages and created separate template styles for this languages. Now all You need to do it to make menus for both languages and attach menu to a correct template style. Plus publish a language switcher module.

Hi

I've visited Your admin panel, but there is nothing in this menus. You need to create some menu items You would like to have in Portugeese language and menu items to use with English.

Next step is to select one of elemaents in both this menus to be a language default page (homepage visible in the selected language).

Last step is to make a copy of template style and attach it to proper language along with the language template style should have a menu selected in Menu tab in configuration.

Hi

I've deleted Your site url and access, so I cannot make examples for You, but it's really simple:

1. Create 2 separate menus. One for Portuguese, other for English.
2. In Portuguese menu its home element set to be a Portuguese and default at the same time.
3. Now go to template settings. Copy the default template.
4. Set this copy to work only for Portuguese and in menu tab select Portuguese menu to use.

That's all.
