Some problems

Hi Guys!

First of all the template design is cool-nice job with designing VM .

I started the settings with template but have some problems-soi need a bit help pls.

I put my half way work to http://www.szalonszoftver.hu to check my problems.

1. I set all VM categories but RANDOM PRODUCTS with News Show Pro GK4 ver. 3.1.3- dont show anything on front page.(????)
2. On front page the Featured and the Popular items looks "bad"--not on the same line-(example: check at the flowers-popular items) and in News Show Pro GK4 ver. 3.1.3 set tumb. to 100x100 but ...here shows something else

3. If i put an item in cart from frontpage for example: first product from Featured items name: Bordázott agyagcserép 43cm -the VM popup shows -Bordázott agyagcserép 43cm bekerült a kosárba. --but the same product if i put in cart from the product own page the VMpopup shows- Bordázott agyagcserép 43cm bekerült a kosárba--looks like some problems with characters -but same module....

4. If you put an item in cart and you wanna check out --there is 2 options -shipment and payment--shipment page ok but payment looks not the same as the shipment page - the buttons are huge and the header fonts are not the same - why is that?-or if i can set to be a same - where can i set it ?

5. In the Cart there is a textarea-Notes and special requests- the cursor writing from right to left:))))))--how can i change it


Well for now i have those problems--sorry for that - but i cant solve them

Hi,

Please check if you have latest NSP GK4 version for no responsive templates. If not please update it nad then check if issue 1 nad 2 still remain.

About 3rd issue please check if special font you are using in template settings support special charcters.
And please send me Private Message with some test account that I could check rest issues. Remember to add link to this topic too.

I waited 2 weeks for answer:( yeahidisabled the page.

I solved the 1.2. problem set again the NSP4 and swiched off thethumb screch-than ok.

The 3. problemis sill exist... i use arial so its shouldnt make this problem.. but in that post there is a guy with same problem...

The problem with the massage box wruting fromright to left you can checkon your demo page:
Go to cart
Notes and special requests-massage box

in the box the cursor....write something

One ask, please try switch your template to default joomla one for example beeze. And let me know if issue still exist. I would like to check if it isn't a VM issue.

I did, if you swich to like Beez... default joomla template (i use Arial font) the product name is ok!

In GK eSport- template if you pick a product from frontpage the popup shows ok but if you pick a product from the product page then product name contains strange characters.-so its bad

If you use default joomla template than ist ok.

And now i have a new problem ...... if you pick a product and you hit continue shoping in popup i got a bank page-i set something wrong????:)))

to fix special box message please add to override.css

Code: Select all

.customer-comment {
text-align: right;
margin: 10px 0;
}


and remember to enable override.css file in template settings.

Problem with double article and redirect to empty page you will solve when you enable System - GK Extended Cache and GK Cache plugins. You set in template settings cache as on but you didn't enable plugin which are required. If you do this you will be redirect to category of item which you add to cart.

About first I send info to our programmers. I will let you know when I get info.

Go in google chrome open the page and pick a product ...continue shoping and its blank ....


You sent a CSS code but this code is not the solution... but i find what did you modify... the right code to override.css:

textarea.customer-comment {
text-align: left !important;
}

This code what you sent is already in VM css...

The chase activation anyway looks likes solved the duplication but the real problem, the redirection not .... please check again.

1. I suggest to fix it directly in VM code (means You will need to remember adding it every time the VM is updated). Please edit file /components/com_virtuemart/controllers/cart.php

around line 114 You will find a code like this:

         $errorMsg = JText::_('COM_VIRTUEMART_CART_PRODUCT_ADDED');


Just change it to whatever You want to be shown when item has been added to cart, for example:

         $errorMsg = 'Product added to cart';


2. The same file as above, around line 112 You will see this:

         $continue_link = JRoute::_('index.php?option=com_virtuemart' . $categoryLink);


Change it to wherever You want this link to go when clicked, for example frontpage:

         $continue_link = JRoute::_('index.php');


I see no "special message box". Please guide me where can I see it.

With content duplicate I also cannot see a content at all, but I think it may be connected with joomla cache issue. Please simply unpublish joomla cache entirely and use GKCache only (it still uses joomla cache but with a fix to this problem).

Not ok ....i could help why...on fronpage ok but if you go to a product page and add tocart aproduct and hit continue shopping you get a blank page because the URL get at the end that index.php like this:

http://www.szalonszoftver.hu/termekek/c ... /index.php

Or and URL what we give in _('index.php');

So the problem we need to specify .......

The duplicating and the massage box was solved:)--happy-Konrad helped ..but the 2 mainprobelnot ...1st was that redirection and the secon is the character problembut you misunderstand something ...i put here what is the real problem:

Any news please......i have to put online the site and with that problem i cant... if you arrive to the site and from GK NSP add to cart a product and continue shoping still get that blank page ..... its only on frontpage if you arrive to page and you add product to cart...but if you go to a prduct page .....and after you go back to fronpage and you add to cart any product and you hit continue shoping than you get that categorie what you visited last time..... so the problem looks like if you dont visit any product than you got a blank page ...or i have no idea why is that.... really need your help guys....anyway i didnt modify any php on the template ...just the ajax cart decimals...


The character problem well ist also important but that blankpage is ....

Please:)

When you load the page (not chased!!!!!) first time on that page. Dont go anywhere just stayon fronpage!!!

Chose a product from "Népszerű Termékeink"

Addto cart---!! dont go to product page just add to cart!!!

Then you see in the popup Continue shoping----Look the URL...you have to see like that what i attached ...
If you hit the continues you have to get that blank page!!!!!!

But if you visit any product in any categories this blank page changing to the last visted categories page.


I tryed in 4 browsers and everywhere exist!!!!

Please go to your site. When you are adding product and click continue shopping, you are redirect to Vrituemart front page. It is correct behavior. And you have to set what you would like to show on home page. For example I turn on categories, latest products etc. To manage this please go to Vrituemart to configuration. Here click to Templates and in right column you will have 'VirtueMart Home Page Settings'.

Are You sure You have modifie the file I was talking about ? If You will replace this message than it goes difectly from this file and there is no way that something else is loaded. Please send me an FTP to Your site.

I had to fix the special characters issue by myself, HERE the solution. In your template, is the same .php file but in 312th line.
