error on line 284 in default.php

When ever adding a custom field in VM - Lets say a text field or some specifications for the product (not cart atribute) - i get this error in the FE of the website.

what can be the issue..

I have joomla 2.5.2 with Gavick eSport 2.7 and VM 2.0.2

It seems like the template is not ready for extra fields... can you help me.. i can PM my website admin log in info so you can take a look.

i guess i wasn't specifying the position.. so there is one position i know..
