eSport - Virtuemart cart - SHOW CART fails

Joomla 2.51 - VM 2.0.1.f

You can add items to the cart, and continue shopping.
But after I click on SHOW CART the top level category page is displayed instead.

I am using a macbook pro, but all other macs in the office behave the same. Firefox 10, and this morning I updated it to 10.01 before capturing the screens.
And just to be sure, I just tried the same thing with Safari, and I go the same result.

This issue was then resolved by Bartlomiej Krztuk, but I am not particularly happy because it was working at the beginning, and the explanation was the following:

Is possible to check your website?

Nevertheless, the only stable version available for VirtueMart is 2.0.
The last version know is 2.0.2 (aka 2.0.1.K) and it's RC (release candidate) = not officially stable = not suitable for live production websites.
I'm not saying that is the cause of your problem, but understand that we only support stable versions of 3th party components on our projects.

I had to upgrade VM2.0 because of some "show stopper" bugs in the category area. First I did 2.01d, then 2.01f which seems to be stable enough for us.

I just thought that an explanation and a "sticky" could be useful to others (as well as me).

The quick solution is to disable SEF URL's until we release an update for this template.

This problem has been fixed in version 2.8.2 of the template? What files should I replace to solve?

In version 2.9, changes list you can find in updates section, there also is available list of files that you should override.

Please update both template and VM to latest versions, VirtueMart in 2.0.1 have several bugs which were fix in next updates so maybe in your case this resolve problem.
