Errors after installing template "The World War ii" jooml2.5

I just installed joomla 2.5 and downloaded "The World News II" 2.5 template zip. I installed using the extension manager at Joomla. It worked fine. I then made this template as the default. When l previewed my site, l saw a lot of errors... Anyway, l am using XAMPP for hosting...Below are some of the erros:

Please configure your server to Joomla requirements so disable display_errors option in PHP configuration and disable strict standards - this option is good to debug process but not for working site.

Please can you list the procedure for me? Thanks

How do l get the images show up like the demo in world news II

After quickstart installation you should get exactly the same view like in our demo site but with 'demo' images. Could you be more specific ? What images you want to display ?

Thanks..On the homepage, when you hover the mouse on "MODULES MENU" it displays 3 images of Barack Obama. How do l change the image and assign different articles summary to each image?

Also, to the left of the latest news , there is an image with the title "Chinese Police Officers... ". Can you tell me more about the image. Is it a plug in? how can l achieve similar thing?

leageNews is keeping showing these errors even when display_error option is set to Off in php.ini

Any Idea how to stop this (which renders the template useless [actually the whole application].

@OWSUK You mean modules in menu yes ? This are simple News Show Pro modules published on 'menuX' positions - the module you can change in menu item settings on 'GavickPro Extended Menu Params' tab.
