Hi.
GA code you can add in administrator panel --> extensions --> template manager --> features.

The error still continues, the code is added to the theme settings do not work.

But I've found another solution;

templates / gk_sport / layouts / default.php file in the / head if you add the code before the code runs.

Thank you.

Sorry for reviving this post after so long but didn't want to create a new one about the same issue.

This is my issue. I added the Google Analytics ID (UA-XXXXXXX-X) to the template settings for The News II and clicked add rule. Then save.

The GA Tracking ID is included in my website, but GA does not find it. It does not work.

The reason, I believe, is that GA asks me to include the code they provide before closing </head> tag, but in The News II the GA code is included almost at the end of the page within the body tags.

Is this normal behaviour? Should this work for GA or should I ignore the template's settings and just hardcode the GA code? Thanks in advance.

The place in template for analytics code is correct, google needs few hours, sometimes day to collect any data from your site, it was mentioned many times on our forum. Please add this code and wait until google collect some statistics.

OK, cool. I'm gonna do that and wait.

Because I was impatient I removed the code from the template and installed a plugin that's reading correctly with GA (I've had a GA account for a while) but I'll turn it off now. I'd really prefer using the template's own code than a joomla plugin. I'll share what happens in a couple of days :)
