VMart 2 error in admin in J2.5 for eSport quickstart

Hi

Just a note on an error in admin of the eSport template with VM2, experienced when testing on localhost.

When getting into any admin tasks like setting categories or detail for shipping etc there seems to be a broken link to the CSS files as the sub page is unstyled when it opens. The attached image shows the problem.

This is not a problem in eSport in the J1.7 quickstart, everything appears to be working correctly.

Appreciate this may be a J2.5 VM problem, and not directly a Gavick issue.

If there is a local solution be interested to hear..... thanks.

Based on VM's site, VM2 is not compatible with J!2.5..

same problem, any suggestions?

I have the same problem there and also when trying to edit the paypal email. I am going to try joomla 1.7 instead of J2.5.

This is probably problem with VM component, please try reinstall it and if it still not working maybe the VM support forum will be helpful.

I have been trying to use VM 2 for the last month now and getting very frustrated - I donlaed the 2.5 version and had the same problems been descibed on a joomla 2.5 template framework and when i saw the Gavick had greated the new esport version I thought that my problems where over.

I downloaded the quickstart version and low and behold the same issue - why would you release a quickstart knowing that it does not work. Now I have installed the latest patch com and aio com_virtuemart.2.0.1.K_extract_first.zip and it has removed the problem of categories and product desplays on the backend

But when I click on a product on the front end I get two lines, product name and then manufacture

Probably this patch package make some change in VM template, please try to download only VM template (rest_files package) and overwrite files again (only for VM template). Remember to backup working one before.

Ok please explain vm_template - I do not understand I have downloaded the latest version of com_virtuemart.2.0.1.N_extract_first.zip which has solved the backend category display problem but still having problem with the frontend prodcut display just showing two lines please help
