Make topmenu, slider and content lign up?

I have been trying to align the topmenu with the slider, so that the 2px gap on the left side would be 0px instead - but with no luck I have been altering the CSS to change margins, but it doesn't seem to have any affect. Can someone please tell me how to move the topmenu-box 2 px to the right, so that it aligns with the rest of the site?

First I thought it was me, who messed up someting when messing with the CSS, but the 2 px gap is also present in the demo on the Gavick demo site.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have noticed, that the topmenu is 1002px wide instead of 1000px - now I just need to fin a way to make it 1000px instead (or 998px). So the question is now this: where in the CSS do I change the width of the topmenu area?
