Jomsocial Groups short description display module

Thought maybe I'd ask here. This may be caused by the GK jomsocial theme. When you go to the "all groups" page, or the "my groups" page in jomsocial, you see a list of the groups in boxes (modules). The boxes contain the group description. When you are creating the group description, you can add html, but when you go to the "all groups" page or "my groups" page, the html is stripped out of the short description boxes. Why is this, and how can i get links and such to show up in the group description on these pages? i will attach a screenshot to display what I mean in case this is confusing.

when you are adding this description do you use some html editor ? Probably it is filtering the html tag and change them.

Yes I'm using the built in editor tinymce. I have tried with other editors to no avail. Jomsocial itself seems to be stripping the html from those short group descriptions. All i want is to place a link in the short description. Is there any way you could take a look at it and let me know if you have any ideas? Thanks!
