I'm trying to add a video link to the recently featured module.

Where about do i enter the HTML code for the video link?

Hi

You must create a custom module type and place there the media source code, provided (for example) by YouTube. Or you can use some media player plugin that you can get freely from 3th party joomla! extensions.

I recommend this one, for example.

I tried playing with the demo video. (this was a vimeo link)

and now it has disappeared. where about should that vimeo link have been embedded in the module?

Well, since Vimeo provides his embed code as iframe, first you need to go to Plugins Manager > Editor - TinyMCE and remove "iframe" on Prohibited Elements.

Them go to your vimeo video and if there the "share" option, click on it and you will see the embed code. Copy the script and them go to your custom module.

On the custom module, change to "toggle editor" mode and paste the code.

Before saving the module, return to normal editor by clicking again on "toogle editor" button.

Now save and check it on frontpage.

You will have to change video size to your needs.
