When I add applications to the jomsocial profile...such as the standard Events app...it is not formatted with the Music template styles. How can I fix this?

Go the the profile for the user which I created for you. Customize th profile by adding the Events app to your profile. Save. View your profile. Notice the Events app does not keep the style for the template.

Also...notice that the menus are very 'touchy'. I am having issues with users not being able to 'catch' and click on a submenu item before it disappears.

These are the two big issues for me right now.

Thanks for your help.

If I'm not wrong, I have been supposed to create a new event, I have just done that and here is the layout http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/565/7593191306.png

I don't see anything wrong there. Can you please clarify?

Add this code to CSS Override to fix the issue with submenu:

Code: Select all
#jsMenu .jsMenuBar li ul{
top: 36px!important;
}

Well...close.
What I am talking about is the custom profile apps that can be added to the JomSocial profiles. The app I asked you to add to your profile was the Events application.

Steps:
1. Login
2. From the Profile menu on the JS toolbar pick Customize My Page
3. On the My Applications page choose the Add Applications option just below the Activity Stream box
4. A pop up box will show with all available applications which can be added to the profile. Click Add next to the Events application. (This is a default jomsocial app)
5. Click the Profile menue from the JS toolbar to view your profile.
6. Scroll to the bottom of your profile and notice the Events App does not inherit Gavick styles.

Thank you very much for detailing that, this is a bug and I will report to our development team to fix for next version of the template. I will let you know if they give me a quick fix.

Hi,

An update from developer:
this is extra plugin which you have to install. We support stylish for basic funcionality of jomsocial without plugins. If client wants to style it he need to edit files in plugins/community/events. Here he will find css file and view php file.

I find this answer to be less than helpful. This 'plugin' is a shipping component of JomSocial. I thought you guys were a world class template company with fully functional JomSocial template support. I guess I will have to go back to YooTheme or RocketTheme for full JomSocial support.

Hi,

I know that's not good, I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience, I will try to check again with the developer and let you know.

What is interesting...is that your own MusicCity template replaces the styles on the JomSocial apps.
So....is this a Music only policy?

Also...in looking through the forums again, I found a similar thread.
https://www.gavick.com/forums/music/jom ... app#p67377

That override does not work for me, but could be a clue to an easy fix.

It's hard to do because I don't know how to change the style, I could give you some CSS code very easily but I need a design for it first.
