How do I get "Our New Members" on frontpage ?

1. How do I get "Our New Members" on frontpage like the Demo template ? See attached file.

Module is Latest Members module and it is part of jomsocial package.

If you have it already installed in your system simply publish it in position "top" and under menu assignments in module settings choose to show only in "Home" page. Also disable any other modules in "top" position.

Hi again,

Now this modul gives me fail on my server when activating it - I had to installe my joomla / Jomsocial all over, and discover that when i activate this modul, I got server fail in frontpage

Do anyone know what this could be, and how to solve this issue ?

What is your jomsocial version and did you check jomsocial forums to see if there is any bugs in that module..

I have JomSocial ver. 2.4.2 it should be the latest one. I will ask a Q on the jomsocial webpage. But It have worked before.......that´s why i´m wondering.

For any Joomla/Gavick 'complete' newbies (like me!)
From my limited understanding....

1. The 'latest menu' wont appear in 'modules' as default
2. From your download package of 'Jom social' you will need to unzip package 'modules_unzip_first_2.4.2'
3. Find 'mod_latestmembers.zip' in here
4. Upload Zip via 'extension manager'
5. This will now appear in /modules as 'latest members'
6. Enable position/notes as already described
7. You can change name via 'title' to appear on your webpage as you required

Hope this helps some other 'newbies'

PS: (Next up) I need to work out how to enable this module in 'JomSocial' Home page as gavickpro demo site!

1. Download Rest files package for "Music" template. "gk_music_rest_files_J!17.zip"

2. Extract the compressed files.

3. Copy "gk_Style" folder in to your website.
From Compressed file > gk_music_rest_files_J!17\gk_music_rest_files_J!17\jomsocial_theme\gk_style\
copy or upload to > http://www.yourwebsite.com/components/c ... /gk_style/

4. Select it from template settings.
Joomla Admin > Components > JomSocial > Templates > "gk_style"

5. Make it default.
Click on check box next to gk_style then on right click on "Default".

6. In case members are switched off edit above style by clicking on it and make sure "Show recent members" is set to "Show".

If you are using same version and files then i suggest you upload again , maybe files got corrupted somehow.

I have the same issue as in this post. When I try to display Latest Members on Frontpage (position top), I have a blank page displayed !
Josmsocial version 2.4.3
thank you for your help

With previous poster this was due to having or using multi language or language other then English which caused his problem and if you are using language other then English you might have the same problem. This needs to be sorted with Jomsocial.
