I loaded quick start just now. I get an error trying to get into the back end.
JAuthentication: :authenticate: Failed to load plugin: plgauthenticationjoomla
JAuthentication: :authenticate: Failed to load plugin: plgauthenticationfacebook

On the front end i get error Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/allphase/public_html/components/com_content/content.php on line 15

I am starting to get more frustrated with gavik. I download quick start so i can get a site up quickly and then something wrong and takes forever to get it resolved.

Seems to be some of the files are not uploaded correctly or they are corrupted so it might help if you replace or overwrite them with joomla files.

Will that mess up the set up of the demo with quick start? Do I delete everything? What do I reinstall? I thought quick start let you do it all in one

No it will not mess anything, however in this case something happen either during the uploading files or package files might be corrupted. I haven't tested recent package yet so I suggest following.

If you have installed a quickstart package already simply copy and overwrite the files from quickstart package. Do not copy installation folder.

Double check following folder exists and files are not 0kb.

plugins\authentication\joomla

I decided to start from scratch. redownloaded quick start. deleted database and all files. uploaded new quick start and did installation again from scratch. i can get into backend but on front end still same error.
Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/allphase/public_html/components/com_content/content.php on line 15

You can send an admin access and ftp access to my email normanuk [at] live.co.uk and I can take a look at this. I still believe it is corrupted or missing files.

Which version are you installing by the way?

it probably is something corrupt but since i've done it twice from scratch it must be something in the quick start file that is corrupt. it almost looks like they upgraded the package from 1.7 to 2.5. i used the quick start 2.5 file that i downloaded from gavick pro today. i downloaded it and same thing. i've got to have it up tonight

Hi there, i've just upgrade my Joomla! installation to version 2.5.6 and this error appears in the back end:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JSession::checkToken() in /home/content/80/8931280/html/wthindustrial/administrator/components/com_login/controller.php on line 52

and in the frontend:

Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/content/80/8931280/html/wthindustrial/components/com_content/content.php on line 15

any ideas to solve this? , i'm using gk_sports template.

thanks in advance
