Myfolio - change colour

Hi

I hope someone can help. I have been trying to change the option colours in the template/menu highlight and have no success. I have edited the menu.css, template.css file and there s no change in the colour on the front end so I am obviously doing something wrong. I saved the code in the override css file too.

I have also selected the correct info in the back end template options. I don't want to use the colour options that are available in the template. Can someone help please?

Also (I tried to edit post but it didn't allow me).
Where do I upload my own social share icons to? The original ones have now had a design change so I am trying to replace the ones in the template. The originals looked like the attachment below.

Can anyone help please? I have searched for answers to no avail.

I also would like to know how to change the grey template outer background.
