Dear,

I am trying to customize the My folio template, but I am faced with some question marks
- Can you tell me how I can update the pictures on the Home Page with my pictures. I see now 9 black boxes
- Can you also tell me how I can remove the foother at the right?
- I do not understand completely the structure of the items or articles on the different pages?

the URL of my website is as follows www.nunccontemporary.com

Those images are pulled from K2 Items ( Articles ). To edit them please go to joomla admin panel > Components > K2 > Items.
Click on an item you want to edit.
You will see editor with sample text inside. In editor Toolbar you can see " image" tab.
Browse and select your new image also check the small box in bottom of the page to delete current image when you are uploading a new one.

You might have to delete cache in joomla as well as in "/modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/cache/" folder if new images don't appear.

Regarding footer on the right, can you be more specific or take a screenshot so we can identify where you mean.

Regarding structure of items/categories. Following might be useful explanation.

Originally joomla comes with its own article system. K2 Component is an extra component where to some users original joomla article system was not enough. K2 Component is a widely used article system.

Template has custom styles for both article system/components.
Categories in Joomla works in following format. Section > Categories > Article.
Categories in K2 works in following format. Categories > Articles. However you can have as much as nested category as you require. Such as following.
Category1 > Category2 > Category3 > Article Item, or from a real usage example could be.
Services >
Services > Products
Services > Products > Computer Hardware
Services > Products > Computer Hardware > Processors
Services > Products > Computer Hardware > Processors > Intel Article Item.
Services > Products > Computer Hardware > Processors > AMD Article Item.

I cannot see any live website in your posted link so If you need more information please post here. Thank you.

See you around...

Dear Norman,

Thanks for helping me out. Below is the compleye URL.
http://www.nunccontemporary.com/Nunc/gk ... start_J25/

- Images: I did not find the cache file in teh directory you suggested me.
- Footer: template design@Joomla etc. + logo Gavern framework
- http://www.nunccontemporary.com/Nunc/gk ... mitstart=0
As you can see on this page the text is aligned left from the picture. However in the original template the text is aligned under the picture. How does this come?

Thanks for helping me out with all these questions. If you need my admnistrator data, I am willing to provide you with them.

Best regards,

lisbet

Dear Lispet,

Pages you are looking at are different from each other and both has different views/settings for greater customization/looks and style.

This link is a category view. Second link is from our demo website which is same.
Code: Select all

This link is an item view. Second link is from our demo website which is same , difference is you have disabled modules which shows on that page which is showing on the right hand side in our website demo.

Did you managed/attempted to change the image at all as i have described. Image folder I suggested was for in case if your new image did not appear.

For Gavern logo and copyright text follow below;
Go to Joomla Admin > Extensions > Template Manager.
Click on "gk_myfolio - Default", this will open template settings page.
On the right side click on "Features" then Find "Footer elements" section.
Turn off "Framework logo at the bottom" by click on " On " button.
Delete or change contents of "copyright" box.
Save and close.

If you need further information please post in here.

1. News page or Blog page
http://demo.gavick.com/joomla16/aug2011/index.php/blog and - http://www.nunccontemporary.com/Nunc/gk ... mitstart=0
=> I did not see any difference between these pages. I only de-activated some features such as hits, but did not change anything to the settings of the pictures
=> The page looks more or less similar except for the artcile Hendrik kerstens@ Galerie Rademakers in Amsterdam where the text is aligned left from the picture and I am trying to understand how this comes because if I open another article and I upload a new picture, I get the same issue.

2. Home Page
I uploaded a new image, but was not successfull. I also get a lot of error messages when doing so.
See Picture 69.

3. How does it come I cannot see anything on this page.
http://www.nunccontemporary.com/Nunc/gk ... xhibitions
I just copied the orginal template page
http://demo.gavick.com/joomla16/aug2011 ... 02/k2-tags

Send me an admin access via private message and i ll take a look at changing images to see if its working ok or not. Then we can continue on page looks.
Please post a sample image as a link for me to try for an article, perhaps for "Hendrik kerstens@ Galerie Rademakers in Amsterdam" article.
