Page Class is not working

hi
i need to do some css changes in the homepage.
i added Page Class in the home menu item but it not working and the body gets no class.

i know it should work i did it with other joomla 1.7 sites.

please help.

hi
i found a way to do it from the template manager under "Suffixes for pages" ant its working.
but it shuld work from the menu item as well.
