How to install the template on Joomla 1.5?

Hi,
I am trying to install the world news 2 template onto my site.
I have manually uploaded the files folder to my hosting account, but when I log in as admin and go to template manager the template does not show in the list.
If I go to extensions>install/uninstall and select the .zip file I get the error message:

Code: Select all

Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Can someone help me install this template please? I am using Joomla 1.5

Hi,

Please make sure that you have used the right version of the template which is used for Joomla 1.5. You can download it and try installing again via Extension Manager, use this link to download https://www.gavick.com/download/joomla- ... 15-zip.raw

Thanks for replying, I managed to sort the problem out with your help.
Do you know if there is a sql dump file for Joomla 1.5? I wanted to install the demo content but didnt use the quick start because I needed to install Joomla 1.5.
Is there a file to download that can give me the demo content?

It's ok, I'm just going to re-install Joomla using the 1.5 quick start package - easiest option.

I have installed the quick start package onto my site but have noticed that where the images were in the demo site I have blank images saying 'demo'
Is this supposed to happen or did I do something wrong?

Glad to know you have installed Quickstart package successfully. Due to copyright matter we can't provide all the graphics we use in our demo page for customers so we replace them by those demo images, therefore you did nothing wrong.
