Multiple main menu

Hi there
We have the standard setup with "mainmenu" loading in the page.
Now we need to make a CLOSED area, and want a new seperate mainmenu replacing the "original" mainmenu while in that area..

It seems that we cant control the mainmenu on the modules page..


How can we do this ???

You can publish mainmenu using a joomla module (mod_menu).

there is allready a mainmenu module publishied in modules, but it seems to have no effect...

(have tried to disable menu on the area where we want the other mainmenu) and to load the new one in this area but without luck..

Also the mainmenu module is set to load in "left" position ?????
What IS in fact the module postion for the main menu in the template ?

The menu (GK Menu) with animation effects it is part of the template features and you can't publish any were else.You can only select on template parameters which menu will be displayed there.

If you want to display again the same menu content, you only have the ability to display in modules positions
(check the available ones on the respective demo - there's a page there that shows module positions)

I think you misunderstand me..

The "BIG" menu is linked to the "main_menu" module at the moment in template settings(standard)..

we need on a special area to link "main_menu2" as the BIG menu instead...

This can normal be done with 2 main_menu modules, but we cant get it working on this template...

is that not possible - or are you stuck with only one menu???

You can try to create copy of template with different main menu and set this template so one another menu item, this is the only solution that comes to my mind.
