A few niggly bugs

Hi there,

firstly can I say I love the template, it's a great design. However I have a few niggling problems:

1. I get the wrong browser appear every now and then, in other words I get the mobile browser appear on my desktop browser - it has happened in Firefox, Chrome and ie. Not on all pages and only occasionally, but it looks unprofessional. I have deleted my cache and it still happens. The main menu text inflates in size occasionally as well.
I have JA Compress as well as System Cache enabled if that helps.

2. Regarding the News Show Pro GK4 I have had complaints from web hosts that it is making rather ridiculous demands on any server as it writes so much information to disk every time it loads. With Caching it helps this but it's still a demanding fiend and the consensus is that it needs optimising and some clever device to stop if from collating too much information on every load. I know that's difficult due to the amount of options in the module but if performance could be enhanced that'd be excellent.

Our site is rather large and an I know Joomla can be awkward when dealing with 40,000 articles, so my question really - would uploading K2 change the performance or is it the same, and would an upgrade from 1.5 to 1.7 make a difference.

Other than that top job, what a gorgeous looking template, thanks.

Hi,

Can I have your site link to check if I can see the issue as you mention at (1)?

Regarding the issue with News Show Pro GK4, this module is still under development and maintenance so we definitely improve it more to get it work with better performance. Also you are recommended to use Caching mode.

I am not sure about the limit of articles you can make but it's always better to upgrade things to latest versions.

Hi Don, thanks for the reply.

http://www.euroweeklynews.com is the site, also I had to remove the search button because it would spilt the menu about 25% of the time (the main menu would separate from the section below leaving a gap when using the split menu) , I'll re-enable it so that hopefully you can replicate the problem.

Hi Don,

Yes, perhaps I didn't mention that it didn't happen every time, forgive my stupidity Don. Here is a screen shot of the menu working well and not well, I took these screen grabs a few moments ago in Chrome but the problem seems to replicate across different browsers.

It happens with Ajax both on and off.

Thanks for the heads up about the errors Don, by looking at the errors I can immediately see what they are caused by.
