Missing navigation buttons after upgrade

Hi, I just upgraded one of my sites in joomla from 1.7 to 2.5, and I noticed that the buttons for navigating between items are missing. I also updated the template but nothing changes.
how can I fix it?

Hi

Please go to "Article Manager Options" and check if you have enable "Show Navigation" option.

Hi Seichinha, the "show navigation" option is enabled, if i switch to another template the navigation buttons works fine....
