Dear sir/madam,

I have just purchased World News 2 template for Joomla 1.7 ( see: www.viethome.co.uk/g )

I have used QuickStart package to setup my site

However, This template loads too slowly. Sometimes it took from 5s to 20s (most of the time: 20s) to show the content ( menu, articles, module...).

I have enable the debug mode BUt can't see anything wrong.
Also in Category Blog layout, I would like to set multiple columns in stead of 1 at the moment. But the template doesn't apply the configuration. If I switch to other templates, it works well.

Thank you very much for your help

Hi Vietnamese Cong,

I have just check your site, it loaded quite fast for me, however I can see that you haven't used cache modes and CSS compression mode, please try turning them on to check if it helps the site load faster.

Hi Don lee,

I disable the cache because it is still under-development. However, I turn them on as your suggestion and it load pretty fast.

Please check if I have missed something:

I enable Cache in Glabol Configuration as well as plugins: System - Cache /plg_system_gavickExtCache / GK Cache

I also turn on the following option in Template Advance Setting:
Use GK Cache
CSS cache
CSS compression

Thank you very much for your help

Hey Dong Le Thanh, man,
I didn't know you are from Vn as well

I did notice the images missing in our articles as we are migrating from J1.5

What else should I do to optimize our new website?

Also i have a problem to display article in Category Blog Layout.

I would like articles to display in 2 columns. I did set the parameter in Articles Option but I doesn't work with this Template. It does work with default template.

Could you help me?

Thank you very much

If you have enabled all cache modes and having a good server, I have nothing else to suggest then.

Regarding the issue with Layout, can you give me a link to see it, also I would need backend and FTP access to implement if I can, so please PM me with the access info.

I have the same problem with Musicity template that it loads to slow.

@ Don Lee: I'm gonna try all those cache things you suggested.
Only have one question about the Cache in Global Configaration:

I can choose Conservative or Progressive caching.. what's the difference and which should I choose? Which one is better?
Cache handler is already on File.. there also is a option called Alternative PHP caching.. Also of these two.. what's the difference and which should I choose?

I would be very happy if you could answer these questions.. thanks in advance!
