content problem with my site

Hi i wonder if someone can help me. I am using joomla 1.5 on my site and what i would like to do is to diplay a full story on my home page to help with seo, but the trouble i am having is, with the k2 extensions which i feel is great at allowing me to update the site easily, will not allow me to display a whole story on the front page the way it was written.

What i mean by this is, when i have tried to display a whole story it is not putting a space between paragraphs and i would like to find an extension that can do this or find a way of telling the template to do this.

When i have tried to solve this, all it does is puts the whole story all together with no line spaces and i do not want to be messing about all the time manually doing this.
