Fatal error when trying to use a Category List

I'm getting the following error when trying to use a Category List menu item.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ContentViewCategory::getItems() in /home/npalmer/www/bpm.com/jupgrade/templates/gk_twn2/html/com_content/category/default.php on line 46

Any thoughts?

Are you sure that you are using J1.7 version of the template as the file /templates/gk_twn2/html/com_content/category/default.php is not included in the package but J1.5?

Please make sure that your PHP version is at least 5.3.X

I think the issue came from migrating from j1.5 to j1.7. Even though I installed the new template, it had some lingering directories from the old template. Removed the directory and reinstalled, now works fine.
