adding a image to post on K2, Data is not JSON

I have just installed the quickstart TWN2. But I have a problem to add image to an article in componet K2. when creating or editing an article, I go in image tab, and search for a picture inside my computer. after that I click on SAVE to create the article. doing that, it only shows a blank page with no error message. I have tested in several browsers with the same result. Am I doing something wrong in the procedure? Or have some configuration problem?

Also while still in image tab, click on "browse server" the following message appears: "Invalid backend response. Data is not JSON"

what is the problem? How to solve?

That seems to be an issue of server configuration.

The problem was really this. The proc_open PHP function was disabled on the server. I had to migrate to a different server that offered this feature. And problem solved!
