Can anyone explain how to get articles on the front page please

Hi. I am trying to work out how to get the articles on the front page in different sections.

Here is the site i am working on lifestyle magazine

What i am trying to find out is, where it says in the top left hand corner, 10 arrested, how do i get my articles there, say if i wanted show biz articles to be there.

also other sections including sport.

I would like to have my own section names which can include celebrity interviews but i am not sure how to get these onto the front page.

any help would be great

Do you mean scrolling news which is called "highlighter module" on top of the menu ?

If it is then in joomla admin > Extensions > Module Manager > Find "mod_highlighter_gk4" on the list or on right Where it says "Select Position " choose Highlighter and you will see the module in the list filtered.

Click on mod_highlighter_gk4 and module options opens up
On the right side See "Data Source" where you want to look for the articles. e.g joomla or K2 etc
and just underneath select from category of your data source. If you want to select multiple categories hold Ctrl + Mouse click.

Hi that is great, that was a nother question i was going to ask, so thanks for that as now i do not need to ask that.

What i also want to do is, where there are articles in my demo installation on the front page, for example where it says about chinese policeman on the top left of my site and then articles next to it, i would like to know how do i get my articles on the front page and also at the bottom of the front page.

I have tried to work it out and have found that the categories are us, asia etc where the articles are in but i have tried to do my own but they do not appear on the front page.

Also are there any instructions of how to use world news please
