GK4 News Pro Module Broken on Qucikstarter package

I have downloaded and installed the World News II quickstarter, tried to load the home page and got a blank page.

From past experience of using Gavick templates started of with disabling some modules and it turns out that disabling all the mod_news_pro_gk4 modules and Tabs GK4 module allows loading the home page. Now most of the content is loaded using the News Pro GK4 so its pointless having the site without them.

Any help/suggestions appreciated. I am running CentOS 5.6 and PHP 5.2.10

I have had the same problem with both World News I and World News II. I find a manual reinstallation to be the only way to solve the problem now. Yes it takes time but it works.

I've never had problems like that and I've installed it many times. Most probably the PHP version can be the problem. I'm not installing joomla on a lower version than 5.2.14 (got some of my favourite PHP functions).
