Financial Busi 2.5.1, Joomla 1.7.3 - Remove Name in Reg

The Name in Registratin is pretty useless. It does not mean anything since it can not be validated in addition to not being able to parse a single word many customers just input in that field.

I need to remove the "name" field and the "Name" Label altogether. Please help find which one to delete or comment out from /templates/gk_finance....../html/com_users/registration/default.php

I don't want to touch the Joomla core file thats why I need it done from your template.

I'm afraid that it's impossible, Name field is required by Joomla so you can't ignore it unless you change Joomla code.

Nothing is impossible. This is one of those things that can be done with an extension or a plug in. It actually be incorporated into gavern's com_user > register and can be turned on or off from there. Think a little bit !

it means that the our current templates and extensions do not support that and if you need the feature you would need a customization or some extension, so, I'm sorry we can't not help you further with this matter as it's going out of our support scope. Thanks for understanding.
