Lightbox not woking in IE9

Hi there,

Looking for a little assistance. Using Financial Business, the lightbox for image enlargment in a K2 article ( and if the modlar code elswhere ) is not working in IE9. The image/link is loading in the parent window, not the lightbox.

I have tested this on the gavick demo site and it is the same result there.

Any thoughts? Is this a known issue, and is there any resolution?

I have checked my installation on IE9 but did not see any issue with the modal box, can you please try checking again on another computer to confirm the issue?

Thanks for coming back to me.

After checking on 3 different machines, I realised I did not say that I was looking at the J! 1.7 version.

If you look at the gavick demo at: http://demo.gavick.com/joomla16/jun2011 ... 14-23/item and click on the image, it opens in the parent window for me on both IE8 and IE9 ... BUT the J!1.5 demo works on both IE8 and 9 correctly.

So.. it seems like it is a J!1.7 template issue with this template im particular. I have checked the MyFolio and Music templates (1.7) and they are working fine also in IE8 and 9.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In the screenshot, it was J1.7 version, the template version is 2.4. This installation works properly on my computer but I don't know why our demo site has the problem. I will check with our developer about this and inform you later.

This seems to be a problem of Joomla itself, you may find some solution at this discussion from Joomla forum http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2584953

Try upgrading your template to latest version as well.
