blog article layout

I am almost finished with a new website using this template that has been quite heavily modified using CSS and I have ran into one final problem. I want my articles in category blog to appear as they do on your demo version ie date to the side with dotted line separator and article floated right. In my blog the date always appears underneath?

How can I change it and why is it different from the one on your demo?
