Menu problem with googlemap plugin

On pages displaying a google map the child items from the drop down menu doesn't appear. I have tried several different plugins, without any success. The menu items appears only if the content does not display a google map. If I have a map on the page, the menu acts like a normal item, doesn't display any child content on hover. What could cause this???
