Hi,

I have just been doing some pre-launch checks and I have only just noticed that the jcomments comment form isn't displaying in the mobile view. Can anyone let me know what I have overlooked please?

I also have a strange elastic page rendering thing going on you need to see it to see what I mean. Is there away of keeping the content area static?

IE7 is stuffed on pages using the right column anyone know of a cure for that?

Here is the development site address...

If you visit the site and spot any errors please post back in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Could one of the dev team explain how the Gavern framework handles the onAfterContentDisplay and onPrepareContent events are handled in the mobile templates please? It seems as though this could be the cause of jcomments failing to function in the mobile view of Gavick templates.

Thanks in advance

It's OK I have solved the jComments issue by installing the JTouch mobile template. In hindsight I should have done in the first place. All the other extensions/plugins are now supported on mobiles as well and it functions nicely - just needs some styling.

The right hand column is still screwed in IE7 and the bizarre screen refresh issue is persisting. So some clues or support on how to solve those issues would be nice.

Cheers

After sorting out the mobile view of the site it has become evident that the mobile solution provided by Gavicks Gavern framework is seriously flawed!

I think one of the developers needs to take a long hard look at the code. Images in list tags do not wrap properly in portrait view on any browser. The first line of data wraps above the image while the remaining text sits below. Opera Mobile is a total mess and should be listed as unsupported. Joomla onAfterContentDisplay and onPrepareContent events are not processed correctly if indeed they are processed at all. The list goes on...

Could a mod remove the broken image link and the herf for the website url in the OP please? I would do it myself but editing previous posts here isn't an option.

The other issues are still unresolved and have received zero response, so I guess I should assume that no one has any idea how they might be fixed. Hey ho!

The support has proven to be something of a let down thanks guys. ;)

Well I guess this template is a dead template going by the lack of response to any support questions.

Please could a mod remove the link as requested earlier!
