Articles on a Default menu item are not displayed

I have submitted a ticket, but just in case somebody else can answer this. Basically articles (K2 and Joomla internal) in item view or category are not displayed on a Default menu item (in my case it's Homepage). I can put modules in there, but have no luck with articles. I can display articles on other pages without problem. But soon as I make page with articles 'default' menu page articles disappear. I tried jumpstart Pixellove on my localhost and it's the same problem. Anyone has a clue how to fix that? Thank you
