Child menu items are not displaying with mod_mainmenu

I've installed the quickstart version of Pixellove. I am unable to show any sub-menu items using the mod_mainmenu module. Only the top level items show. This is not the modmenu controlled by template manager but modules that are created and acontrolled in Module Manager. In your own demo, the "Column-menu" has a top level item "Graphic Design" has three child items "Wallpaper, Poster and Joomla Template" but they are not shown.

The column menu is not the same as mainmenu. You can setup the mainmanu in the templates options. The mainmenu will be displayed on the upper right.

But I had the problem that the submenues and menu groups dont appears on my joomla. The quickstart works like a charm. After a while of reviewing und research I found an incompatibility with

http://www.greatjoomla.com/extensions/p ... lugin.html

I Dont know whitch module has a dependency to that. But you can setup an option to use the scripts only in the joomla backend. After all I have deinstalled the plugin.

Thanks, Christian but that is not the problem.

In the demo setup for Pixellove, Gavick does assign the menu "colummn menu" (under Menu Mangaer). That menu does have children and therefore it should be displayed since mod_menu is a standard Joomla module independent of Gavick's custom menus and templates. Even if you reassign the menu being used mod_menu (for ex.: assigning "Main Menu") and child menu items are present, they still do not display.

I wirh someone on staff at Gavick would respond to this issue since it is now three days since I reported. :(

I am not sure if that helps. But here is what I've done for me. I have Top Menu with pages Home, Photo and Video. As an example on page Photo, I have subpages Different and Powerful. To display links to subpages in submenu in a column, I have just set in mod_mainmenu in module parameters Start level 1 and End level 2. And now I have submenu with only links to pages Different and Powerful.

Is that what you are trying to do?
