Mr Teitbyte: Mobile - English (UK) version problems

Mr Teitbyte has login details of our backend, so that is why I ask him.

Site has 2 languages: Dutch and English
Although the Dutch mobile version still has a "hide modified date" problem, it merely works.
The English mobile site however has 2 problems:

1. Cannot switch to desktop version, always returns to mobile version
2. Screen size is way to big, looks like it has the desktop version resolution.

English mobile site is accessible on:
http://www.newhersystems.com/

Dutch mobile site is accessible on:
http://www.newhersystems.nl/

Please look at it in iPhone / iPhone silmulator

Hello,

I checked your English site with iPhone simulator as well as with changing user agent of Firefox to iPhone but didn't see the problem, please check my screenshot attached.

Mmmm. interesting,
I test with 2 methods:

1. a real iPhone
2. the iPhone simulator that comes with the XCODE SDK (MAC application)

Both show me the screen attached to this post...

Thank you for help.

So, isn't it iPhone layout? I don't see any problem on your screenshot.

No it isn,t.

Let me attach 2 images: the Dutch & the English version.
It is all the same site, but we have to addresses:

http://www.newhersystems.nl -> dutch version
http://www.newhersystems.com -> english version

Dutch version is iPhone layout -> works OK (Except for "Hide modified date bug)
size

English version uses iPhone layout -> layout is visible, but the size is same as desktop version. I do not want that. I want same size as Dutch version.

So weird, I will ask some developer that has an iPhone to check for you instead.

Hi

Don Lee asked me to join conversation. This may be a cache issue. please clear cache and check it than. Send me also an access to joomla panel of .com version.

I found the solution.
The link to our English site is:

http://www.newhersystems.com

Is is just a URL forwarding link to : http://www.newhersystems.nl/index.php/en/
Our service provider has a few extra options in the link forwarding settings.
One of them is: "Page in frame".
Is switched this setting from YES to NO and the Mobile English version shows in the correct way.
Maybe useful information for others who encounter the same issue.
This thread can be closed.
Thanks to all for your help.
Appreciated.

Hi
